Dark Knight Engineering completed a silo construction project for Austral Bricks, starting with welding cleats for cladding and progressing through roof installation, preparing the top section for insulation and cladding, and assembling the cascade and hood sections. The lower cascade and hoods were then insulated, clad, lifted onto the hopper section, and positioned. After placing the silo on top, we assembled and fitted the stack in stages, including twilight work on the top section. We tested the final stack, lifted and tied a fully clad duct into the kiln, and compared new and old structures. Finally, we constructed the stair tower, lifting both lower and upper sections into place to complete the project.
